| Experienced Business Development Manager required for search marketing agency based in Brighton, a sound understanding of the UK and European online marketing sector would be an advantage.
£25,000 to £30,000 basic – on target earnings £55,000
Responsibilities
• Lead generation and appointment setting
• Securing and presenting pitches to a professional standard
• Responding to RFI’s and tenders in a timely manner
• Developing new business relationships and generating new income to agreed targets
• Presenting to potential customers directly and at industry events
• Managing and maintaining a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is current
• Close relationship with Managing and Sales Directors, Account Management and Technical teams
• Keeping abreast of issues affecting search engine marketing companies and the search engine industry
Job Role
Selling a sophisticated search engine marketing service to Marketing Directors and Managing Directors of major brands.
• Demonstrating the service to Directors and end users
• Presenting company and solution benefits
• Representing the company at trade shows and events
• Generating leads by market investigation and cold calling
• Responding to prospects RFI’s & RFP’s
• Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation
• A thorough understanding of clients objectives including their Return On Investment (ROI) objectives
• Ensuring the company remains proactive with clients
• Ensuring potential clients are in keeping with business objectives
• Ensuring campaigns are commercially developed in-line with client’s ROI objectives
The Person
• A tenacious, driven individual with a proven record of success in the B2B selling environment
• Articulate, of smart appearance and exhibiting a strong empathy with people
• Able to make your own appointments
• Able to close the deal
• Motivated and organised and at all times professional
• Able to keep promises
• Own a driving license (own car is preferable)
Estimated time allocation
80% New business pitches and meetings and generating new outbound business leads
20% Developing proposals and strategy
