| My Client, a leader in Managed Web Security is looking for a keen and dynamic Datacentre Engineer to continue the rollout of a global infrastructure.
The role requires 3+ years current commercial experience of systems engineering, maintaining hosted infrastructure, building datacentres and the infrastructure around them. Along with the ability to work to very tight deadlines the successful candidate must have a team focused approach, be able to use initiative, be resourceful to get the job done, be flexible in their approach to working hours and have a serious eye on attention to detail!
As well as building technologies the role will involve every aspect of servicing a datacentres’ needs including logistics, maintenance and support on a 24/7 basis.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 3+ years experience as a datacentre support engineer,
Solid experience of datacentres, systems engineering in a hosted environment,
A good working knowledge of Linux, networking and firewall security,
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to establish and maintain confidence with ownership of issues,
Flexibility in working hours a must,
Possibility of some worldwide travel,
£25,000-£30,000 P/A,
20 days paid annual leave,
Hours 9am - 6pm + 24/7 on call.
